Now, its the middle of the summer, but come on, two ancient Bond films in one afternoon! That just stinks of laziness and desperation - did everyone at Grays Inn Road leave their brains at home when planning todays schedule? Even worse is that they still insist on splitting You Only Live Twice for the news - why not just show the bulletin between 16.50 and 17.05 which is close to the usual time it is broadcast? What happened to showing the Bond films on a Friday night? Isnt the whole point of having the Bond season in the first place being that all the films are shown in order or in this case backwards) at the same time every week and make a feature out of this? What with the remainder of the evening being filled with Rock Around the Block and Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes, does anyone else get the feeling we'll have headlines about more incredibly low ratings on Monday?

This really must be the most rubbish Saturday Night schedule i have ever seen in my life. Saturday Nights should have the Entertainment factor, not loads of films on nearly every channel bar one which has cricket coverage. There is only one programme which out of the whole of the night looks somewhat 'alright' and thats the celebrity Stars in their eyes although that is now getting a little repettitive. I hope next weeks is a lot better.

Its seems as if ITV have gone..

"oh weather's nice today...nobody will bother watching our channel - lets bung some Bond films and dig that canned Celeb Stars in their eyes out..."

As per usual its ITV that gets the attention with other channels being ignored.

What about BBC1, shoving the news to the very early 4.50pm slot before showing a film and then a Weakest Link repeat.

Not to mention last night where they put Titanic on, with a news break, meaning they didn't have to put in any effort for the entire evening with the pre-news and post-news slots covered by the film.

I've never understod why ITV stick a news bulletin in a middle of a film or programmes like "It'll be alright on the night" and "TV's Naughtiest Blunders" It just ruins the enjoyment of the programme.

Well the BBC One film is "Bird on a Wire", honestly, that's never been on before has it ? Not to mention the Dalziel and Pascoe repeat.

Poor all round I'd say, but it's almost as if people here staying in on a Saturday night expect to watch ITV and ITV only, and then have a moan about it.

Just like The Fast and The Furious, that was on ITV1 about two weeks ago, it's on ITV2 tomorrow night.

Though why do they insist of these Bond seasons, they did this a few years ago when they claimed to show them in order on Wednesday nights, which only lasted a few weeks and then gets shoved around the schedules.

I'm surprised they haven't dug out The Naked Gun for ITV2, not that it's a bad film or anything. Laughing

Isn't Grays Inn where ITN is? The Tower is on the South Bank. Sorry to be picky! Rolling Eyes
