Between Smart and Newsround a recorded trail for The Saturday Show was aired. Simon was on a circular white performance stage, joined by Jake and Angellica. Behind them was a very different looking set to what has been before. A tall curved wall with large reflective rectangle tiles. led track lights at both sides and square tiled flashing lights framed the sides. Such a change from the 2001/2002 - 2002/2003 shows. The theme tune is the same as last year.

Missed the promo thing. Maybe that's what they use for the shopping game or something like that?

it looks like the mysti stuff has all been done before on previous shows to the slot (in some way or another)... but I just hope it is live. I think that could make or break the show. I don't think it is though - apparently she does magic so that suggests it is.
Oh, and 'Whose bin in the news' sounds like it could be a relation to SM:tv's Garbage Hunt.
I'm not sure what to think of TSS so far. The Stupid doesn't look very good, it's too white and looks way too small on screen. With everyone saying how small stuidos look in real life in comparison to how they look on scree, the real TSS studio must be tiny.
Anyone notice the mention of Liam (Dolan?) and Michael Underwood (both moved over to ITV to present Diggin'It and CiTV respectively) a minute ago, with Jake referring to them as rats who disappeared?
Nice Missy Elliott impression by Angelica. She's doing a great job of making me want to kill myself, just like Missy does.
Overall it's not
too
bad, but there's much room for improvement.
At the moment I'd say it's worse than the last Saturday Show. Oh well looks like it will be lie in time till September / watching other channels.
Oh yeah and 8.30 is way too early to be up!

Did not think much of the saturday show and i only saw it for 15mins, Asked me sister what she thought of it (she is 8 ) and she said it was not very good MOM is better. Anyway i will try and catch it next week as i was on CMP at 9am.
To make it worse, both MOM and TSS are far away from the studios for Top of the Pops and CD:uk, so neither show is going to have good celebrities on it because they'll all be at CD:uk.
well, no-ones going to be at TOPT Saturday on a Saturday is it's clearlyu pre-recorded. IMO TOTP Saturday's current format is awful, it was much better in it's original format.CD:UK is far superior.
Please bring back the old format, its so boring now. The studio is ugly, the old one was so nice and the sofa area was colourful with multicoloured cushions and it was homely. Now its like an office just painted white with a sofa and reflective thing dotted randomly.

I actually enjoyed The Saturday Show, I was hesitant at first, but grew to like it. It was good fun, but compared to MoM, MoM was far better. The studio for TSS is so crap, so cheap. It seems weird to have had Simon presenting with just Fearne and now has to have to present with 2 presenters. Angelica was really good, Jake was crap and I think Simon's a bit of a naturalist to saturday morning already (but a real copy of Joe).
Mysti Show - Hate it, I knew I'd hate it. It's such a little childs programme, I'm sorry but its utter crap.
