All the best to her and Jake, and hope that Simon is as good as last year, and gets his hair cut, or washed at least.

Some of the new features seem OK. But let's wait and see.

I wonder if CBBC Scotland have changed the whole show. With it now under their control they could really do whatever they want, rather than before having to follow on from London. They may have given them a brand new set. Something that fills the studio rather than black with the bits here, there and everywhere would be nice!

Talking of them taking from London. Have you noticed, since they started to do this with Live & Kicking in 2001, London haven't had the exact same show back.
In Sept 2001, they started the Saturday Show
In Sept 2002, they relaunched the Saturday Show
And in Sept 2003 Dick & Dom went to BBC One.

Not sure about Dave presenting as himself - never heard that mentioned before...

I think it was Teleganticmegavision or something like that, on ITV Saturday Mornings in the mid-90s.

To launch this weekend as part of the new lineup The Mysti Show has got to have been comissioned to run for 21 weeks as the centre of CBBCs TSS and TOTPS so no matter how high the 90 min Saturday Show ratings performance the Mysti show (which is expected by most here to be beaten by Ministry Of Mayhem) will be a permanant fixture at 10am until September 11th 2004 when Da Bungalow returns.

Yes that is what I was thinking of. I think he also did some type of sketch show for BBC Choice.

Dave Chapman is an absolute legend - yes he is behind Vinnie, the ferret on Xchange. He's brought a certain anarchy and unpredictability that had been lacking before he came along. Not sure what Xchange would do without him now to be honest.

I couldn't agree more. I've found myself watcing the morning x-change when he's on. Obviously he's a very talented man, and the bungalow managed to exploit that perfectly. I had hoped Tiny and Mr. Duk had come back to the Saturday Show to do their HUGE SHOW live when I saw the press release, but obviously not.

Anyway, I think the big problem at the mo is that 2 of the 3 shows (I think) are pre-recorded.
I think they would have been better with this line up-

8:30 The Mysti Show
9:30 The Saturday Show (either encoporating a live TOTPS or having a mix of pop throughout.) Mysti could even start at 8, to leave the usual 3 hours.

I think I can remember L&K going from 9:30 to 12:15 when Zoe and Jamie did it, then it started of 9:15 for a while, before staying at 9:00.

Live & Kicking used to start at 9:15 when they came back in September then started at 9am in the new year, this was because the old Live & Kicking went on to 12:12 (followed by the news, weather and then grandstand).

Even if the mysti show is commissioned for 21 weeks (when did it become 21? It always used to be 22) then as AJB pointed out that doesnt mean that they can't move round the schedule, as I expect they will do, unless Mysti beats the ministry.

There are 21 Saturdays until Sept 11th when Dick and Dom in da Bungalow is expected to return. Maybe 22 Mysti shows will be made, but that would leave one unneeded as Dick and Dom is supposed to be back by Sept 11!
The article below says The Saturday Show will run from this Saturday April 17th to September 4th.

I think at the mo that it looks like TOTPS is going to be produced from London. Maybe if they made it into 1/2 an hour or 45 mins they could some how slot it into TSS? I presume that it is from London as bungalow director Simon Hepworth is going to be working on it (I don't know if that's the whole show, or just parts of it though).

They are most probably going for RUGRATS, as CBBC afternoons did last year, when CiTV shownt All Grown Up.

I look forward to what they have in store this saturday, should be fun. It's always nice to have relaunches of shows and new ideas. If only shows didn't just do it once every year or so often.
