Here's what I think of the new logo

Just so you know, the TOTP website has had a slightly new look, taking on the new logo. The colours that the circular motif seem to come in so far are dark red, green-blue and orange.

There are also a couple of trailers for the all new show, which give an idea of how the music might sound and how the circles will animate. Personally I hope that's not the music (but it probably is) - sounds a bit 90's.

All I can say is I hope this All New TOTP doesn't introduce the filmic look to the show. It ruined the EMAs, don't let it ruin TOTP (not like the two shows are connected, but still.....). I doubt they will introduce it, but I still want to mention it.

Forgot to say that they also mentioned on the show tonight that after next week's show, there'll be an extended show over on BBC Three for another hour, presented by Richard Bacon and Margherita Taylor.

They didn't say whether it was a permanent thing, but it sounded like it was. Quite a good approach, IMO, and it has to get some viewers switching over to BBC Three for once.

Did anyone else see the TOTP Breakflash that aired just after the first half of CIN on BBC ONE tonight? I'm watching on BBC ONE West, did it happen on any other regions?

The trailers are now avalible at http://www.bbc.co.uk/totp/antotp/index.html. I quite like the music personally, and the way the circles animate.

The more I hear that music the more it sounds like the early 90s theme tune!

Its not the same but its very familiar!

The strange thing is, I actually like the music used on that. I think it may be a good boost for the show. Its totally different from current. I'll have to wait to see how the cd:uk style voting features work. I think they should be left to cd:uk.

Perhaps (as they are at the moment) cd:uk will now head for more just music. Who knows! Only time will tell.

And I bet that non of my family notice that totp has changed until christmas day when the tv's on, and they say what's this! If that's the music and style, my nan wont like it! But I think i will. It's a shame I work every friday night!

That music sounds very similar to the countdown from the early 90s, and there's no bad thing in that! I like it, sounds much more pacy.

The circles remind me of the daytime news intro sting

It IS very early 90s!

I think it sounds like "Run the Risk" at the end Laughing

Awww.. I wanted to see "The Wizard" come back .. or even "Yellow Pearl" now that'd be going back a bit..

Still, I'll settle for the early 90s theme returning... which is what the music on that very short trailer sounds exactly like to me.

Much better than the weak version of the Led Zep tune they've been using for ages.

I did have a thought once that they could use Whole Lotta Love by Goldbug. That would have been good.
