Why would it say Pop's?

The plural of pop is pops not pop's . Pop's means owned by pop or a contraction of pop is ! Rolling Eyes

I think Chromakey is taking the **** out of the topic title.

Oh, sorry Chromakey!! Embarassed

Also here is another version of the logo, and maybe an indicator on colours and fonts...

my 1st post

imo it's an improvement on the last look, but it reminds me of liquid news, and the logo reminds me of The Word Confused

there's a whole page about the new look totp in this weeks heat including a shot of the new set, the article confirms what most people dont want to hear, which is all new totp will be a magazine show with less performances, video voting + viewer interaction through email and text.

So by what you are saying. Top of the Pops is to beome a copy of cd:uk. Taking elements of present and past cd:uk.

I'm not to keen on the logo, it will look good, but as some have said will look dated quickly as its one of those fonts.

The old logo was very diverse. For one it was a square which could be added easily to things, It had colour, but didn;t have to be used with colour as there was also a black & white version. Its text was simple and clean, and never dated beause it was a simple everyday font.

Looking at listings, the show will not be called The All New Top of the Pops anyway, just Top of the Pops. The same goes for TOTP Saturday.

The logo published here is the new TOTP logo.

And I like it Smile Nicely styled, will be interesting to see how it's executed on screen and in the studio - and can lend itself to being abbreviated as TOTP as well.

The font reminds me of the one of the fonts used in the TOTP End Credits from 1981 to 1984 (the same font used in the middle of the ITV School Clock 1981-1987)

Don't be surprised if ratings jump for the first half of the first episode. ITV1 are not screening Emmerdale on the Friday night and instead will screen House of Horrors at 7pm.

I can see the headlines now: MILLIONS SWITCH OF NEW LOOK TOTP (to watch Corrie).

Or more likely, the extra half hour without Emmerdale competition will mean that the BBC can claim it's a huge success because the average ratings are higher...

I think the logo is a bit weird looking-but at least it'll be a change from the 70's retro style the show has had for nearly SIX years now! I'm sick of it! Also, is the show going to be longer from now on? Confused Very Happy

Only the first new look TOTP next Friday, 7-8, BBC ONE.

The week after it goes back to its usual half hour slot at 7:30.

If you haven't noticed I have now changed the title of the thread.

I do appologise for the mistake in my grammar.

I also appologise for the dealy, as I did not realise this was my thread, until CPFC pointed it out to me! Embarassed
