Don’t think I’ve seen this position before - like Glasgow I think who also have a similar setup in their newsroom?

This area has been used since NWT moved to Media City in 2011 I believe . It is also used for news bulletins during Andrew Marr show

I think this is also where Salford based news correspondents are when interviewed live on air and political interviewees for Andrew Marr e.g. Lisa Nandy

On the first day in Salford, the breakfast bulletins actually used a wider shot of that studio at the start and end, but that didn't seem to last very long (not sure if they even used the wide shot after the first day).

I'm sure I saw a video somewhere recently of a NWT Breakfast opt where the presenter appeared as if they were sat on the red sofa in the studio - I'm guessing that the sofa backrest that appears in shot is actually part of the background!
