Aw marvellous. I never get the the living room tv to watch only fools or any classic sitcom on UKTV Gold. ( yes I still call it that because technically that’s it’s name)
If it is launching on Freeview, I can imagine they put it in the most prominent slot they can, so Really on 17 may get demoted to 23 and Dave Ja Vu can go back where it was on 73.
17 - Gold
19 - Dave
23 - Really
26 - Yesterday
73 - Dave Ja Vu
It's worth tuning in to CCX before it presumably closes just to see some of the quite dreadful, but weirdly endearing, promos they have for the shows on the channel. None of the clips they use in anyway sell the shows, they just seem to use any old bits of scene and stitch them all together. There's a fantastically jarring comedy promo where you've got ancient British sitcoms like Tripper's Day followed by recentish American sitcom Hot in Cleveland. The whole thing has an air of someone in Peterborough getting the chance to run a TV channel for the first time.

They don't own Really any more, it's owned by Discovery. I think it will just go on channel 23 to be honest. Dave and Drama are much more watched and important to UKTV than Gold is at the moment.
I'd guess The Bold and the Beautiful will move to Drama in a late slot if they keep that from CCXTV.
What a shock in the tv world with NOW TV finally launching on Amazon devices and now UKTV putting one of their core paywall channels on Freeview. Luckily with most of the content being SD anyway, the 544x576 PQ won't make much difference.
