Broadcast have an article saying S4C managed an average of almost 450k for the England vs Wales rugby (for the actual match rather than the whole broadcast). I wonder how that compares to their highest ever ratings, I don't think I've ever seen a list of their most watched shows of all time.
Wales v Hungary (Euro 2020 qualifying match) was their highest-watched programme in the 12 months to 31 March 2020, according to their annual report; 366,000 reach.
Edit:
Because I'm all heart, TV Forum, I've gone through their Annual Reports back to 2009, when they were still operating a split Welsh/English service pre-digital switchover.
The programme in that time period with the highest-reported reach was Wales v Ireland on Sgorio, in the year to 31 March 2018:
627,000
viewers.

I tuned in late to the Wasps v Newcastle Falcons rugby union match on BT Sport Extra 5, so I didn't get the name of the commentator. It sounded like Mark Pougatch. But was it, and if not, who was it?

Judging by the fact that Amazon Prime is trending on Twitter, it seems their coverage of the football earlier left something to be desired. Reports of sync issues and buffering.
Sync issues a plenty tonight, bizarre effect stream stops or almost stops sporadically then picks back up for 90pct of the time, several restarts required though. Their recommended solution of signing out of the app and signing back in is bizarre, and didn't work either.
I had audio sync issues in the build-up to Liverpool v Wolves. Impossible to spot once the match is underway, I closed and re-opened the stream during the ad breaks, and other than that it was fine.
The rugby was problematic yesterday losing the picture and sound, but think that was more of a standard broadcasting fault than anything related to the show streaming.
P.S. Did Amazon use Clive Tyldesley last season as well? Do find it somewhat ironic that after years of people somewhat unfairly complaining about ITV's football coverage that as soon as they let him go nobody seemst to have a bad word against him.
