Guess that means a whole year without a new BBC2 logo then. I'll forgive them if we have a full BBC1 revamp in the New Year.
No chance. Standards are so dire that I'm half expecting BBC1 to drag up decades-old idents and keep them because they're better than Oneness, just like BBC2 did.
Not sure if there needs to be a separate thread but just had it confirmed by Duncan Newmarsh on Twitter that we won't be getting a new BBC2 Christmas ident this year, just the previous four again sadly. Nice as they are, it's still a big shame.

Even top left aligned with the subtitles tag would look much better.
Channel of the Year would have worked a lot on the bottom of the screen like Channel 5 does with their Broadcast and RTS Channel of the Year tagline.

Definitely- and it looks really good, with a simple lovely guitar soundtrack. Day and night versions for that one.
The other Zog ident is much more Christmassy than the other one they aired earlier.
Overall, a really nice festive presentation package. Even better as it's "Oneness-less" too!!
And as for BBC Two, I agree with what some others have already said- the "Channel Of The Year" text slapped on those wonderful idents really needs to be ditched. Why not just put it on the stings, like they did with the normal ident package?
Also, it looks like BBC Four have a brand new Christmas ident.

They're lovely - that endboard is particularly nice, I'd almost prefer it as the news ident! Lovely to do a day and night version too, and the audio is great.
I guess my only reservation is that it's the classic 'put a logo on a clip and it's done' - it could be for any channel. Unlike the 2011 version which had the logo up front and centre at the end, and had the circles concept. Not the fault of the animators, it's simply because BBC One doesn't have a symbol or theme anymore.
Minor quibbles though, I never want to see those lockdown idents ever again.
