They mentioned at the end of today's show that Morning Live will be returning in February. Hopefully with a new set...
It may be the end of series one, but it is not the end of Morning Live! Thanks so much for watching, we'll see you in February with more tips and take-home advice!
It's interesting that it's not going to be year round as the media release mentioned it'll be playing alongside Rip Off Britain, Crimewatch Roadshow etc. I would guess it'll be 8-10 weeks runs with the other shows taking over for 2-3 weeks at a time.

Maybe the BBC have learnt from The One Show that if you commission a programme for 50 weeks a year that you have to
actually
fill the airtime with more than filter fluff and Alex Jones taking 5 of the 30 or so minutes on air to introduce the guests

TBF I think Morning Live could do 50 weeks a year as they have enough varied content.
I wonder if any revised set might lead to changes to the One Show as well. Something that requires less work on a daily basis but allows both shows to retain an independent feel.

That would seem sensible and could make it a more flexible space year round. Personally I felt they did a great use of the space with the Morning Live set (even if the actual aesthetic wasn't the best) so it shows there can be versatility in that space, they just ideally need slightly less intrusive permanent fixtures such as the letters used to cover the screen for the One Show.
I think that maybe after yesterday's announcement either Morning Live might return sooner, maybe mid-Jan or some of the basic, easy to make Lockdown 1 studio based programming might return.
The One Show set has proven to be flexible over the years - even if it's mainly just changing the colour of the sofa. The Morning Live set is the most radically different use of the space but it works well and unlikely they'll be any changes in the short term for obvious reasons - most things like that will be put off until better times I'd imagine.
Not seen it for ages though but if they're still putting the studio guests in the corner then The One Show could do with tweaking things so it doesn't look so awkward. The Morning Live set, obviously designed with social distancing in mind, does it much more naturally.

I imagine they'll stick with their original plans. It's Rip Off Britain for the first two weeks of January.
