I'm still getting over this awful one from watching the 2016 election coverage.
Becky Anderson is a great journalist and presenter. Like Quest, she has been with CNN for many years now and is one of the best.
That promo is a bit cheesy but it’s not too bad.
This one is cheesier:
That's been the only downside of watching CNNi during all this - the same 10 adverts on rotation.

All those complaining about the 'maze' Quest advert should be thankful they haven't had the 'just a penny, JUST A PENNY' advert that makes the maze one seem shy and retiring.

The big takeaway for the next big election coverage for UK broadcasters is that you don't need fancy, too clever by half election VR and graphics a la Jeremy Vine - it's a gimmick that has outstayed its welcome - and talking head after talking head (an issue BBC often has on election nights).
Actually a John King at a big screen guiding you through the results and going into the detail (with a bit of analysis with guests every so often) is what people seem to want.

Not sure you can extrapolate much to UK General Elections, as we just have seats declare their results (not counties within states like they are going into the detail of - to get a sense of how the whole state will go).

CV19 has meant minimalism. No lighting up of the Empire State Building, no virtual Senates, no vox pops with the public - and somehow 1 night of election coverage has stretched into 5 days without too much effort.

Looks like it won't matter to the overall result now, but Arizona is getting pretty tight as the vote counts are being updated (in this case, Trump is catching up). Fox News and the AP looking really quite 'brave' to have called it so quickly. May still end up blue but Biden's early lead has shrunk considerably as votes have been counted.

“Without too much effort” = by people both on and off screen working very long hours, several days in a row, often on very little sleep.
So it’s with a huge amount of effort.

By Trump logic though that means FRAUD! All those Trump voted are illegal
