PS
The daytime slots are still called MSNBC Live with... The NBC News branding is still used on some of the intros/outros but the on-screen branding that was on monitors and sets when they were in the studios has been sparse since most of them have been broadcasting from home or a remote studio during the pandemic. I notice it used a lot more during the "newsy" hours on weekends and the daytime weekday hours that are anchored by NBC News correspondents. They also still use the NBC chime during the breaking news intro and the county to county segments for Decision 2020 and the main Decision 2020 theme.

That's not the NBC feed on 15W is it? I watch that sometimes! Though whether it's on air and what it's actually showing isn't always predictable.
I often watch the Today show live on a feed I get.

How on Earth can you guys watch NBC? On a satellite? It can be received in the UK? And can all the networks other than NBC can be received (like ABC, CBS, FOX, The CW, MyNetworkTV and PBS?)
I often watch the Today show live on a feed I get. Before it is the local news show called ‘ Today in New York’. Towards the end of the weather report they play the first bit of the ‘NBC chimes’. Any idea why ?

I have a motorised dish, and there's a feed on one satellite which often shown NBC news programmes or CNBC (and sometimes the NBC network feed, though last time I saw it it was running the music & effects audio channel rather than the main audio). I don't check it too often these days though.

It’s something they always done. Not sure if it’s something mandated by the network but it’s done pretty much universally. Locally WBAL only does it in the AM.
I assume it’s just an audible cue to get peoples attentions to the end of the forecast as it typically shows the 7 or 10 day forecast.

Pretty sure that NBC News Now desk is one formerly used on MSNBC when Alex Wagner had a show.

NBC's station in Dallas does the same, always toward the end of the local weather.....
