The messaging would be very different if our leader had a degree in something useful like a science rather than a dead language.... as Germany has shown

Our Prime Minister has neither a degree in a dead language nor a science degree.

I can only actually think of one PM in my lifetime who had a science degree ?

I'd have thought just following the briefing with the regional news then having The Search as scheduled would have been fine.

In ratings terms at least though Boris can console himself with the fact he is more popular than Little Mix.

The fact that's been leaked as well isn't helpful.

ITV News just has a 10 minute scheduled bulletin at 7pm after the rugby, then 20 minutes at 11.30pm. Neither ideal really - would be wise for them to replace the 45 minute Catchphrase at 7.15pm with a half hour show at 7.30pm.

Pretty poor from itv tbh, considering the country is going into lockdown you’d think they would have at least a 30 minute bulletin after it’s announced officially.

Our Prime Minister has neither a degree in a dead language nor a science degree.

I stand corrected, the subject matter for his degree wasn't about a dead language, it was about literature written in Latin and Ancient Greek

And people complain about Media Studies being pointless
