Just hope they don't go down the "rent a racist" route that seems to have become the norm over recent years.
Interestingly the rerun of a 1999 drama isn't quite as random as it first appears as ITV have announced this week a follow up three part drama from the team behind it.

Agree with this entirely!! I have had similar thoughts with some of the coverage of covid preventative measures. For example, on the wearing of masks, yes to interviewing experts who can deliver the facts, no to people who just have an opinion. If you're not an epidemiologist, or a specialist in infectious diseases, immunology or pulmonology, then your uninformed brain farts are worthless and can do more harm than good in a health crisis.

Unfortunately limiting discussion to those groups would restrict debate to one area. While I'd agree that getting on random political commentators would be pointless there are certainly other groups who have relevant points to make on the use of masks. I can certainly see the benefits of talking to the business community as well as advocates for groups who are medically unable to use masks as to the effects that the policy will have on their areas of specialism.

Yes, far too many people invited on shows just because they have an opinion, though as AlexS says it is a different matter when experts in a different field offer an opinion from a different perspective (i.e. health v economy in the COVID debate).
