While we’re waiting for Ofcom’s sanction decision, here’s an interesting thread on why LL was doomed from the start:

1/ With @timesradio about to launch I thought I’d share a story about the time I helped start a TV station within a newspaper.

The difference with Times Radio is that News UK already have a big radio operation coming out of the same building as their newspapers. You'd hope there'd be less hostility there because of that

The Times project is a truly collaborative affair between the two Times branded titles and Wireless editorially. Compare that to talkRADIO where they seem to dump Sun journalists such as Dan Wootton as compensation for not getting the role of Editor.

So it has - now 11:11, therefore more than 30 minutes.
Quite some time for a technical failure.
Doing a search on the internet, there is this article:-

"LOCAL" branding, does not look live a London live design.

Clearly the new system has gone kaput. I am guessing if it was something else they would have a backup. (turn it off and on again!)

Just re-appeared .
The closing credits to an old May to December were shown, adverts and then on to the next programme.
I didn't see that there was an apology broadcast.

To be fair, we don't know what the problem was, it may have been at Crystal Palace, or on route to it rather than a playout problem.
