They do that all the time in Wales when BBC Wales Today show the daily briefing each lunchtime - they name check the journalist and tv station when going to each question.

I was referring to the ITN reference, which I haven't heard before (not the name checking of the station, which I'm aware is a standard thing, and is normally ITV or ITV News in cases like this).

Former ITN correspondent Harry Smith has died.

Very sad indeed, Rob. I recall Harry at BBC Reporting Scotland for many years (during and beyond the Mary Marquis era) before moving to STV and then ITN.

He was always consistent in his work. And came across as a nice man.

Decades of service to television journalism. RIP Harry.
