FA Cup Final Score though incorporates live action from a number of games. It's a significant programme in it's own right, it's a significant uptick on the Standard League FS, especially in the First Round.

Yes. It's the way Sky and BT would love to do Saturday afternoon 3pm kick off's. Show all the goals, and incidents in slight delay.
It's what the NFL network do every Sunday during the 'regular' season, and is shown here on Sky Sports Mix.

Think of this Sunday afternoon as 'FA Cup Redzone' - or, rather 'FA Cup Penalty Area'.

The fact we still have a blackout is very archaic. My cousin, who doesn't even like American Football was over once, and I had Redzone on, and he said it's a shame Final Score or Sky can't do something like it.

(On the other hand, I do wish Redzone was on the BBC Red Button, instead of Mix - If the NFL is seriously trying to grow the sport here, it makes sense to have that on a service everyone can get, not just people with a Sky/Virgin subscription)

Mind you Americans do their own styles of blackout with broadcasts.

and of course BT Sport's Champions League Goals Show - which I see DAZN are now doing their own version of for Canada (presented by Colin Murray).

Does anyone (outside the UK, obviously) do their own version with the Premier League? We keep hearing how big a product the PL is abroad - PLP could even produce their own.

Fine but the tennis match is scheduled from 14:00, when the BBC1 schedule is recorded programming which while timely could be shown later in the afternoon. The only reason I can see for avoiding it is to ensure the evening schedule of Doctor Who and Strictly goes out on time.

NBC Sports have ‘Goal Rush’ on their ‘NBC Sports Gold’ streaming service each Saturday, pretty certain it’s PLP (graphics, music, no references to any particular network) but a quick search doesn’t being up references to other networks taking it. Seem to remember reading they tried it with the Boxing Day games before it became a full time service a couple of years ago. Some background on it here:

‘Goal Rush’ has a ‘featured’ game with separate commentary from the main PLP coverage. When there is a goal in another game the main game continues in a small box whilst the goal is played in.

The Remembrance context of those recorded programmes needs to be noted. The only slot available in the afternoon without dropping Countryfile completely is 40mins at 1505.

That's right - and in addition to that, Scotland, Wales and NI are also all opting out for their own national remembrance services (leading to Countryfile on BBC2 in NI, and on Monday in Scotland). And because the UK-wide service is at 5.10, there's no way they could also fit in the Home Front Heroes compilation (which obviously has to be on that day) and Countryfile, which also has a Remembrance theme.

It's just a completely mad weekend of live events, one of the busiest I can remember since that weekend in 2002 when they had the Winter Olympics, Masters Snooker, Davis Cup Tennis and African Nations Cup Football all on the same day - https://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/schedules/bbctwo/england/2002-02-10

I'm not sure what the problem is anyway? The tennis is on in primetime.

Just wonder what they might have done without the option to show the evening match instead of the afternoon one, as would normally be the case, and what they've had to do to make the change?

Clive Everton has possibly retired from Snooker commentary, as ITV used either Phil Yates or Dave Hendon as lead commentators yesterday in the Champion of Champions.

Oh my god. The score bug on the Scotland v Wales Rugby League game being streamed live on BBC Online at the moment is HIDEOUS and HUGE. So unneccesary.

Since posts like this are pointless without a screengrab, I've gone and got one.

I really hope that's not indicative of the BBC graphics for the next few Scottish internationals this November. I happen to prefer BT Sport's commentary and presentation anyway, but I appreciate non-subscribers don't have the choice.
