I’m glad they’re not changing it, it is epic. Incidentally the name of the main competition is reverting to include Heineken as title sponsors once again, so it’ll be the “Heineken Champions Cup” - though they don’t seem to have come up with a logo yet, as they’re just using the same logo with a big Heineken logo next to it on the backdrop.
Sky are (after 15 years) out as a broadcaster for the new season, but TV3 and Channel 4 come in.
Since 2014-15 (when the big rebrand/reorganisation occurred) all broadcasters (to the best of my knowledge) have used the same intro each season.
Before that, during the Heineken Cup era, there were two versions of the intro - both were identical except for the logo which read “H Cup” in countries which don’t allow alcohol sponsorship.
I couldn’t hear any difference in the arrangement of “Industrial Revolution Part 2” that was used, incidentally - it seemed to be the same one they’ve used since 2012.

I think I'm maybe just used to the 10 second sting BT usually use rather than the whole thing!
Afaik it’s by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The original Jean Michel Jarre version was on a synthesiser of course, and sounds a bit different.
Suggestion on BT's order pages today that BT Sport PPV could be included at no extra charge in a new Max Pack when launched. Will keep an eye on them over the next few weeks.
