There were a few things about the broadcast which were fairly experimental. They mostly worked!


Salford City v Fleetwood Town, as I mentioned in the previous post.

It was interesting to hear Dan Mason commentating on a domestic game in this country as he usually does Ligue 1, Bundesliga etc. Adam Virgo was on co-comms - a good choice, although sometimes overlooked as he is the co commentator to Adam Summerton (occasionally Steve Bower) for their Vanarama National League coverage.

Also, as mentioned on DS by someone, Matt Smith must be disappointed. A previous number one presenter for ITV, he's gone from presenting World Cup knockout games to pre-season friendlies between non league and League One sides.

Oh, and Chris Hargreaves, who usually does the National League coverage, had an okay night.

Is that who took La Liga too. Be interesting to know if that deal with Serie A was struck before or after Ronaldo joined Juventus.

Have Eleven announced a platform to broadcast on yet? Last I'd heard, they didn't have one, and I'd heard talk of them sublicensing.

But, they are streamers aren't they?

Looking on the 11Sports website, they claim to make the sports rights they have, will be available 'across all digital platforms'.

A fairly broad catchall statement, if ever there was one.

Content getting spread thinner and thinner now. Even excluding anything that went to BT for content on Sky Sports last season next year you'd need at least three additional subscriptions.
