They're going to lose quite a few viewers if they have as much trouble as I did. Took me ages to work it out how to restore access with a setting I've never used before or was even aware of. Never known a rescan like it!
Coincidentally I've just had an email from London Live saying them saying they don't have a record of whether I signed up for the terms and conditions when I signed up for an account with them (which I must have done when they launched) and I need to sign up for a new account. Presumably everyone's been sent this so that's thousands of potentially valuable marketing contact details they won't be able to use now.

I believe LL is complying with an upcoming European law called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), so that organisations have to ask if the customer wants to continue receiving communications.
