Alastair Stewart is always popular here but not everyone likes him

Si-Co, Richard and Spencer gave kudos

So ITV have done a write up about the BBC's documentary on the Coronation, twice pointing out that the Queen was watching ITV's broadcast of the event. Now something doesn't quite add up there. I get -2 actually.

Did ITV show the colour film footage of the coronation first many years later, is that what they mean? Otherwise someone doesn't know their broadcasting history!

I suspect you're right but definately written in a way which suggests ITV was broadcasting in colour in 1953.

That was the only mention of the word itself on News at Ten by the way - I don't think it was mentioned during the report unless I missed it. However apparently Channel 4 News mentioned it several times well before the watershed. I wonder if there will be many complaints? Interesting situation.

Should be fine in the context of a quote.

And he apologised before using the word, so he’s fine. Smile

Can't imagine many children are listening to Radio 4 though - however at 7pm after The Simpsons and Hollyoaks? Not saying it was wrong for them to say it, just wondering if any parents might be writing in!

That is true about Ch4 though I imagine parents might have had Radio 4 on in the car on a school run. Suspect Radio 1 and Capital would have been more popular options so I doubt they used it. Radio X didn’t at 5pm.

I'm glad Alastair is treating that piece of anonymous feedback with the contempt it deserves.
