Before the show began last night, I sent a text application to the vault. I then answered the question correctly but didn't receive the "Yes you are correct - now send us your name, occupation and nearest city" until half past midnight!

Is my application still valid for next week's show or was this a total waste of money?

I think we should be told.

You have until midnight on Thursday to reply, and if you are selected you will be contacted on Friday.

I agree - it's a shame really. It's a good show - and now it has a good host (Mel was crap, and it didn't really suit Davina) but just hasn't built up a following.

It's also a nice addition to the weekday schedule, but I'd like to see ITV1 swap it with Wednesday's edition of The Bill so it picks up Corrie's inheritence, while The Bill has a fanbase to follow it to Tuesday.

Previous series of ITV1's The Vault just didnt get me enough to watch week after week! It wasnt a 'Davina' show at all and Mel added very little to it but now we have Gabby Logan presenting it all seems to have fallen into place and I am quite enjoying it - also the huge money factor is another plus this series.

Previous series I always thought that the presenter didnt actually understand the rules and procedures themselves thus leaving the audience a bit baffled aswell but since Mel, and to more of an extent Gabby, have taken over I actually understand the rules and once you understand them you can relish some enjoyment from the programme as described in previous posts.

Please ITV bring it back for one last series just to see how it performs! Try moving it to another night aswell!
