UTV sell TV business to ITV

Julian still says "news from ITN". Gillian has re-recorded her long standing pre-record CA and now says "news from ITV" but IIRC no-one has actually said "ITV News" on air... yet.

Yes they have at the end of UTV Live at Six for several months. ''The ITV news continues after the weather with Frank...''

I meant as far a CA's are concerned. The presenters may well say it in programme, but when the CA's refer to it at any other time it is always called 'the news from ITN' or now and again 'the news from ITV'.

Incidentally, what do the STV announcers call it? "The ITV News"?

'The Latest National and International News.' ITV or ITN isn't mentioned at all.

at 10pm its the news at ten,

at 18.30, sometimes "Your watching STV, "

As above - "ITV" is never mentioned by STV at all.

Another one is now its time for the news from around the world, or something like that.

Now that the 1:30 and 6:30 bulletins have reverted to the itv lunchtime news and itv evening news, I would have expected STV to have starting calling them "the lunchtime news" and "the evening news".

Is it Autumn yet?

They usually do call it the "Lunchtime News"...never any mention of "Evening News" though.
