Watching "The Magazine", and yes, it's the same idea as "UTV Life"/"The Seven Thirty Show", but not a bad effort. The main difference is getting the whole show out of the studio and having a thread for the whole programme - in this case, places by the coast.
Sarah Travers did a lovely job as host - I'm pleased she's been given a decent vehicle to tempt her from BBC NI, and also nice to see Graham Little involved too. Another returnee I'm delighted to see for this series is its producer, Jacqui Berkeley, who I always liked in the days of "Check It Out". I didn't even mind John Kearns' contribution even if he's still IMO unsuited as the station's promo voice.
I think I'll stick with it for the rest of the series. It'll be good to see if they keep out of the Greater Belfast area.

I know that this reply is a little bit late, but I wasn't referring to Hull at the time. Also, I missed Yorkshire Bank out of that list.
Bloody hell, wouldn't want to live in Hull! I suppose this is the city which only has one choice of ISP and an overpriced dairy cartel holding the price of milk unnaturally high.

Professionalism at its best...
A hilarious moment during the UTV in vision continuity after corrie , when Gillian Porter loses the green screen background and gives a hilarious reaction

Once more, UTV are dipping into their archive; this time, for the ongoing "Part of U" campaign, they have compiled some nice promos featuring some of their long-serving members of staff:

And yes, some of the dates in a few of the promos *do* look wrong. Surely Julian was at UTV before 1986?

According to Twitter ( https://twitter.com/a516digital/status/390955771514466304 ) UTV HD is now in full test on satellite (rather than just being ITV with UTV's EPG data)
