Someone really needs to tell UTV that the year is now 2013! Here we are on the 7th January and they're still showing the DRAMA 2012 sting on their trailers!
Considering they still refer to "ITN"...
Haven't STV already got a version of the "Drama Lives on..." sting? Couldn't one be made for UTV to use?
Both the "San" and the "tan" are the same in both English and Spanish; "der" is not much of a leap - I can't say I've
seen
anyone
say
"santanduh".
That's quite a skill you have, being able to
see
speech.... ;-P
I pronounced it "Santanduh" for a long time when I first became aware of the name (as sponsorship on F1 racing cars etc, around the world), because for a long time I only ever saw it in written form. This was long before Abbey started overtly mentioning the name.
Having never yet heard it officially pronounced (e.g. in a TV advert, or on the news) at that time, and with me being English, and with not knowing that the name came from Spain,
of course
I would pronounce it "Santanduh" at that time. And I can't possibly have been the only member of the UK population to have done so and/or not known any different, during that era?

That joke only works if I've only said seen. I can see someone saying something.
I can't say I ever remember it being called Santander - perhaps that comes from living in a town that only had HSBC/Midland Bank, Barclays, and Halifax (departed).
Bloody hell, wouldn't want to live in Hull! I suppose this is the city which only has one choice of ISP and an overpriced dairy cartel holding the price of milk unnaturally high.
Hey, didn't someone cite a Costcutter charging even more?
And the ISP monopoly isn't the only thing that sucks about living here, we're also the worst place to find a job, 55 applicants for every vacancy, I think I read.
The UTV DOG has today been moved outside of the safe area, although not as far as the ITV one. Seems a little bit smaller too but maybe that's just me?
Seems they've also started copying ITV by showing a breakbumper out of the break as well as into it. And the changes made to the DOG has seen a tweak to the UTV Live astons. The DOG no longer goes full colour when a name strap appears, instead the UTV Live logo appears alongside the strap. It's now even more hideous than it already was.
