Recently the new case against Jonathan King collapsed and the police had to apologise to him, so surely any of his further input into TOTP from now on should be shown.
Not that there is any further input, the Xmas 85 edition was his final appearance.
I don't think there's any more disgraced artists that got to Number 1, though Doctorin' The Tardis was based on a Gary Glitter song, and he did appear on the B-side and performed with them on the 1988 Xmas special- I imagine the regular performances will be shown (after all, we got a Human League cover of the same GG song in a 1980 episode), though the 88 Xmas Day performance will certainly get snipped. And of course there's the three episodes he guest presented in the 90s (and he appeared over the end credits of two other editions in 1994, as that week's TOTP2 preview- we'll have to see how BBC4 handle that if they get that far).
They could probably just cut the TOTP2 preview out and recreate the credits on a black screen.

There's one or two Eurovision preview specials (not regular episodes) where his name is in the credits. If for some reason they do show them, I'm guessing they won't edit it out because they didn't with Christmas 85.

Doubt it. I'm pretty sure the BBC made those on behalf of the EBU for a number of years in the pre-YouTube days where access to other nations entries ahead of the event was more limited.
Recent days events on reality TV from that well known Channel 5 house in Borehamwood have proved in plain sight to a wide audience that there really are quite appallingly vicious, malicious and wicked people out there who are prepared to attempt to frame and destroy innocent people and who believe their own despicable lies.
S**t like Pallettgate is what ruins lives and careers. I ain't saying Savile is an innocent man, I believe he did a lot of wicked stuff and at times the guy hid in plain sight to be frank, but you have to wonder since all this kicked off six or so years ago how many Roxanne Palletts there are in this mess?
There's a train of thought on certain websites (and also by admission in the public domain) that would suggest a famous hairy person was caught up in similar unfair hysteria when the circus rolled into town & justice had to be seen to be done

The Jive Bunny song actually did top the charts in December 1989 for only a week. So not sure how they'll get round that if BBC Four do get that far.
Not difficult... Glitter only appears in the final third of the track. And, from memory, the track doesn’t get that far anyway, as videos were restricted to two minutes.
At the start of 87 there's the Genesis video Land of Confusion. Obviously it's the Spitting Image puppets but Bill Cosby appears in it.
Yes I'm aware that Cosby never worked for the BBC, but as his recent case was major news would the BBC risk showing the - admittedly fleeting - appearance?
:-(

You can see how showing the audience dancing with the video playout didn't work, the combination of it being so zoomed out as well as the credits being on top of them means you can barely even make them out.
None of the listings have changed, so I'm assuming we are getting the 3rd April episode again tomorrow, which seems very strange, they've never shown an episode 2 weeks running before.
