I don't know who she is but she was doing very well tonight.

During the ident at 7.30 she actually mentioned what the show was about instead of just saying the title that many lazy announcers do.

Then at the end over the credits she commented that Flying Cook was the last in the series and that a new series would start in a fortnight "right here on ITV1 Yorkshire", its not often they can be bothered to mention the regional name thesedays

Was it LWT's Trish Bearham (If i've got the right surname), she & Glen always do full announcements, & I have heard them many a time on ITV 1 since LWT dissapeared, It's like they never went away (although I have hear Trish on Channel 5 & a trailer on Channel 4)

Wasn't Trish here in the wonderful Meridian region, not sure who the female announcer was but she was very good.

No it wasn't Trish Bertram, she's one of the few ITV announcers I can actually recognise the voice of, it was a new female voice

Yes, that young lady did seem much better than certain others have been when announcing for regional programmes. She announced over the end credits of Meridian's Monkey Business too, though I didn't hear whether or not she mentioned the regional name.

Oh I agree, she is better then the current lot.
She is very infomative like Trish Bertram and Glen Thompsett, the others just talk a load of s**ite before getting to the point.
ITV should have more like her, Jenny gets my vote. Razz

Does anyone else agree that we need some more older, more experienced announcers on all channels, not just ITV? A lot of the younger ones just don't seem as good.

On Central it was Graham Rogers i thought it was odd they just had the ident normally used for the news but he did say ITV 1 Central .Do the other regions use the news or celeb idents into regional programmes?.
