That said, and having watched half an hour, I’ve yet to be grabbed by anything. It’s all passable stuff, but nothing’s made me think I need to tune in again tomorrow - it’s all just very unremarkable. It’s early days though, and I’m sure there will be tweaks to the format.

Early days? They've had a whole pilot series to work out the format. It might be in a different space and have a bit of an audience but there really is no excuse for the show to be as dull as it is now.

Some additional stats from Broadcast: it was half the average rating of the first series, well below the slot average of 236k, it was beaten by a repeat of Escape to the Chateau on More4.

Does anyone know how long this is commissioned for? Obviously for regional quota reasons and political reasons regarding Leeds, this prog will be given more leeway than others. But something as unsuccessful as this (assuming it doesn’t improve) will not just run forever.

This time they can’t use Steph’s neighbours as an excuse to ‘rest’ it (even if they’ve subsequently moved to Leeds Dock).

It's a sizeable commission this time. Seem to remember it getting an a four month order or something similar.

Why on earth have they gone with the 100 minute run time for something that is just finding its feet

Surely it should be an hour long at this stage

Turned it on and there was some dreadful 'world record setting' attempt at changing a nappy on a doll. Flicked back to the start, found it was all a bit shouty and echo-y. I just can't work out who would want to watch this - this has been dumbed down as far as TV can go, what a waste of the talent and Channel 4's remit.

90k for this yesterday. Same as the Kitchen Nightmares repeat before it. Somehow even less than the dreadful home-based version.

Just the show C4 needs in its current precarious position. Rolling Eyes

It fell to 60k and a 1% share yesterday Surprised

It's just not needed. The target audience at that time already have the established This Morning and Loose Women.
And I don't think this Steph is the star they think she is. She seems shouty and annoying somehow. I'd never heard of her before this.
It looks and feels cheap and tacky. And feels too similar to This Morning, The One Show, etc. Rolling Eyes It's just not needed.

Isn't this already drifting into 'cancellation territory'?

Because people were locked down at home when that was on. Ratings for most daytime things would have been higher at that time, surely?

It certainly doesn't sound as compelling as what used to be on in that slot

And today it starts with sitting down talking about the morning newspapers - identical to what was already on Good Morning Britan, BBC Breakfast, This Morning, Jeremy Vine, Sky News, etc.
Then chef James Martin (who viewers regularly see on This Morning) is cooking on Steph's show. Yawn.
And later she interviewing 2 people from Channel 4's Hollyoaks... Yawn.

There is just no need for this programme!!
It is lazy and cheap. Her microphone wasn't even on for her first sentence on today's programme!

Ouch. That's beyond poor. Just can't see how they could rescue it from such a low base really.

Surely the Richardsons would have done better - that would have the point of difference and feel very much like it should be on C4.
