Seems they've taken a load from the national news and tried mimicking it. It looks good with the projector in the background but the main shot (formally the nice one of Tunbridge Wells) is now a very blurred background. Looks a bit bland. They've nicked the inset-type astons as well.

Titles not great. The music's fine, the pictures are fine..... but they are out of sync of each other. The pictures in the LDN titles cut on the beat of the music and they work. SETs just don't

The set's nice though.... love the big screen

They're using some diffrent versions of the LDN music as well

I'm surprised no-one has uploaded any images or started discussion on the 18.30 progamme yet.

Looks OK, but a completely awful backdrop. And still, the studio is cramped as ever.

Also, I understand now what people meant about reports on the programme being too long. I felt my eyes getting very weary after one or two reports! I wouldn't mind, but they were hardly investigative journalism features.

Newsline has easily outdone South East Today's relaunch.

Have they used the soft area yet, or is the set just the desk and a projector screen? Also, is the desk circular, or is it more oval like on News 24? I can't tell from the streaming.

They didn't use the soft area no, and the desk is oval.

i don't know if i like it or not yet...

I think some studio lights haven't been installed yet or missing. (i.e. above the news desk/plasma..)

Can anyone get some caps please? I'd like to see this new look.

Was a time when the forum would get bombarded with caps and no one would have to ask. Ah well.

I would if I knew how. Sorry. But the best way is to watch the programmes and bulletins on the SET website.

As much as it looks quite good, do SET think they've gone national or something?! Maybe it's just me - but aren't regional programmes meant to be cosy and local? I'm not too keen on this new style of mini national news teams.

I always knew there was something about that Giles Dilnot. It's in the eyes.
