America? Anyway, it's weird seeing Blockbusters using a typeface now more likely to be associated with Power Rangers (which has used that font or something very close to it for the main franchise logo since 1996).

Its just very surprising how big UK blockbusters was across in Dubai.

Here is the Oz version I wonder where those titles have come from ;

Never seen that before. The music is almost Ed Welch-ish like a light synthesised Knightmare. Great upload. It's actually a shame Central didn't do a junior version of Blockbusters as part of CITV...

There's a curious bit at the end of some of the series 4 Fun House episodes from 1993 airing on Challenge on Sundays currently where Pat does a very quick plug for What's Up Doc, saying to watch tomorrow at 9.25am. Clearly tagged right on at the end with the intention of it being able to be cut out for a repeat run - which it presumably has been for most of the shows we're seeing, but others it is still present. On one show he said bye, everyone cheered, and then after a gap he did the plug under the applause, and then on another he shouted it out during the "it's wacky, it's fun..." bit as the words appeared on the screen.

It's great to see those bits left in, helps fuel the nostalgia!

The titles don't go with the much younger show their version of blockbusters was. Also I'm not sure why they kept in the bit with the portrait things that used to appear in our studio, but doesn't appear in theirs.

Portrait things? You mean the figureheads!

I suspect the figureheads are out of place with the Australian version as its a junior version and they are typically associated with higher education...

The contestants in the UK version were Sixth Formers, in Further Education, not Higher Education...

I said the figureheads are typically associated with higher education. I said nothing about the contestants.

Just seen a shot of Greg Scott sitting in the audience on a 2001 Price Is Right episode. Was he a warm-up man for that too? As I know it was shot in Leeds along with Countdown.

it seems the channel has pick up the rights to the USA series Family Feud S15? I think that would make it 2015? No idea why...

No idea why...

It is the biggest game show in America (viewing figures wise)
