So Love on a Saturday night was back on ITV1 for a new series last night.
Did everyone who watched it think its improved since the last series?

I think they have improved the masked date thing but not dragging it out so much.

It also looks like they have got rid of Johnny Wilkes.

Are portions of the show live? The sun on Saturday mentioned it had been recorded that Friday evening?

It definately didn't look live this time, although last series was live wasn't it?

I think the last series was live, not sure about last nights show though

Does anyone else think the Wilkes axe is due to either or both of the following:
(a) his stepping down from You've Been Framed (also made by Granada)
(b) the swearing on the live link in series 1
(c) Charlotte Church

Is it not more likely that it's simply because he's total poo as a presenter?

I saw an ad for this on Scottish TV tonight. I think it will be better than Blind Date and at least its better than that Mel cr*p thats on at the moment!!

I don’t mind that Davina anyway! Good to see her back. Anyone know the format of the show? Is it in the studio with the singletons asking questions and all that, or is it a bit like that other Davina Programme (Streetmate) with her on the street looking for hot folk than sending them on a date??

Tonight on ITV1 is poor. Hope it improves soon!!

May I add that STV/GTV/UTV are very unprofessional at doing Promo's

In this case i think ITV are the professional's at doing Promos

I think it was live because you heard the "cumming" incident on there. Would that have been left in if it was pre-recorded?

I don't like it without Johnny Wilkes. It hasn't got that 'interactive' affect. E:g: people could have gone down on the same night in a chance of a date but now it's '12noon on sunday'. It's not as good.

Hmm an odd post that. I would suggest that the reason that it's now '12 noon on Sunday' is that it isn't live anymore.

As for Johnny Wilkes - what a poor excuse for a presenter - straight out of the Ian Wright D-List in my opinion.
