Love on a Saturday Night is starting next Saturday on ITV1 at 7.15pm, what does everyone think? Are ITV scraping the bottom of the barrel with this kind of series? I think its a bit different to the usual rubbish on a Saturday, and there is definately a gap for this sort of thing now Blind Date has finished.

Its been confirmed Davina McCall and Jonathan Wilkes will present this!

Oh dear, well for starters it's a naff name for a show. Do we actually know what the format of the show is ? Is it a general Saturday night entertainment thing, gameshow or what ?

Also, looks as if Jonathon Wilkes is about to become the next over exposed talent on ITV. All because he was a certain pop stars best mate. Rolling Eyes

Anyway, at least ITV are trying different formats, anyone seen the BBC One schedule tonight, shocking.

I saw an ad for this on Scottish TV tonight. I think it will be better than Blind Date and at least its better than that Mel cr*p thats on at the moment!!

I don’t mind that Davina anyway! Good to see her back. Anyone know the format of the show? Is it in the studio with the singletons asking questions and all that, or is it a bit like that other Davina Programme (Streetmate) with her on the street looking for hot folk than sending them on a date??

Tonight on ITV1 is poor. Hope it improves soon!!

This is what it says in the TV Guide

"Family entertainment show looking at all aspects of love, dating, attraction and romance, presented by Davina McCall"

Apparently Davina is going to be in the studio and Jonathan will be out and about.

I wont make a comment on my views on the BBC or their schedules, otherwise i'll only be accused of being ITV Brigade again Rolling Eyes Laughing

Strangely it looked as though one of the first outtakes (could have been the first) on TV naughtiest blunders was from this. It had a set similar to ant & dec's saturday night takeaway, with Davina sitting on a flower fabriced chair opositte an elderly couple. The mistake was that she said 'come'. Then she burst into giggles, and repeated it to the crew and audience.

I think they should have a heart shaped fountain as the focal point of the set on this show. I hear there's one spare somewhere. Wink

When someone dumped their date on the show would they push them in and engage in a catfight?

Well this series ended tonight, what did everyone think of it? Personally I thought it was better than Blind Date as the format on that was rather tired by the end, I also think Davina is a good presenter on this show.

I was suprised the series ended so soon to be honest but it looks like its to make room for Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway next week, but Davina said it would be back in April.

Just wondering about this...;.On tonight's Love On A Saturday Night, Davina said this show was the last in the series and said it would be back in april. Now i assumed that cause she said Ant and Dec were back next week with Saturday Night Takeaway, that both shows are recorded in the same studio. Does anyone know if this is true? Also if they are in the same studio and Daviba returns in April then surely thats a short run fro ant and dec!!???
