Can't see many people forking out for this, also more stupidly that every ITV channel is available on TV Catchup and there's far less faffing about with that app.

Though isn't TV Catchup now on borrowed time after a recent court ruling - or have things moved on.

(ISTR their argument that they were a form of cable TV was not accepted)

I hope they show the USA version over here, on ITV2 maybe, see what it looks like.

Both of those are quite low budget. By the looks of the image of the US set (and the cashbuilder amount of $10000) this will be of a higher quality than those two. (Incidentally, it seems to be hard to find any proper clips of the German version of The Chase or Pointless).

It seems it's a relatively faithful recreation of the set (not something that has happened with Pointless - the French set is similar, but the Swiss and German sets are completely different) - hopefully the general style will be similar.

I am looking forward to seeing it, and I hope it does well.

Don't most things on GSN do relatively well to begin with? I hope since that the US version looks like it has a studio audience, it will make it more lively.

Plus the Americans love a 'Brit Baddie'.

But wouldn't Mark be a bit easier to beat out there because he wouldn't be up on his American culture?

I can't imagine he'll be that bad on US culture, otherwise he wouldn't have got the gig. Also they can gear the questions towards him.

I guess what Mark doesn't know about the US is far less than what American's don't know about the rest of the world.

Possibly. But he may know what the capital of France is...
