To me Calendar has always been the anomaly - as it isn't linked to the legacy regional franchise/licence name (which is Yorkshire Television or YTV) but within the region it is a strong brand in its own right. (But then the same is true of the BBC South West regional programme "Spotlight" - which is also an incredibly strong local brand without a regional reference in its title)
But then again, Spotlight was originally called 'Spotlight South West' when it started in 1963. I think it probably got shortened in the late 70s as is was definitely gone by 1981 according to TV Ark.
I'd almost forgotten about that. The music was lovely, the scenic views were lovely, the acting wasn't that bad, but it was just weird and meant nothing to the channel.
They've got better with things like the entertainers promo from earlier in the year.
I wonder who gets the final say on Pride of Britain theme, I don't know about anyone else but I much preferred the U2 soundtrack compared to Coldplay's Paradise.
A nice "Next week on ITV" promo just now, not sure if it's new. It promoted one show for ITV/2/4/Be with a quick clip ending on "ITV - Welcome to our Family". It really is very nice coherent, clear branding they've got.
For those that missed them ITV have launched this years teaser trailers for I'm a celebrity... get me out of here! Yes it really is that time of year again;
Also on a trailer related note itv Player goes to the fun fair;

Thankful someone is keeping an eye on ITV stuff. one has to wonder what ITV fill up there ad less breaks with. STV have a good number of channel promos, does ITV have any Channel promos?
That is a good point in regards channel promotions, there hasn't been a where ________ lives trailer in a while (afaik).
At the moment it seems to be programme trailers and itvBe.
There was a large number of promos for ITV2's new season of programmes at the end of Sept, more recently the main focus has been on advertising ITV be. I doubt STV advertise either of those, which is why they are having to show lots of their own promos.
A fire alarm went off on Lorraine, which they actually had to evacuate so they went to a 'break' (ITV Caption) and then to a back up programme, National Trust.
