What does dog washing have to do with anything that ITV1 broadcast?

Since when did idents have to have anything to do with what the channel broadcasts ?

BBC One flying kites, people riding on bikes, a helicopter landing etc.

ITV1 indian woman walking through a market place, a field of sunflowers, fountains in the street

There is a history of this sort of stuff.

I hate live action with a logo slapped on it as I just find it unimaginative unless something interesting happens. At least with BBC1's idents they are forming a circle and there's an end product. You see it doing something. With Pug you just see a dog then the ident appears, but what surprises me is that it doesn't stay onscreen.

has it ever occurred to you that you perhaps making 116 posts in two and a half weeks is a bit excessive?

I Really like it. its quirky, fresh and fun. I doubt all of the Idents will be like that one. The dog really cheered me up! Laughing

How so?

It's cheap video of a dog being washed while stood in the small 'food disposal segment' of a kitchen sink combo.

What's funny, cheery or even 'quirky/fresh' about that?

I also don't see the relevance to programmes. This would be a bad ident even if they brought back "Who's My Dog" as prime time TV. Shocked

This rebrand is beginning to look as bad as I suspected.

I think there are going to be some programme specific ones but that doesn't look clever at all. Just a bit of film and a logo, not quirky at all just uninspired.

Is there a limit to how much a member can post their views?
Why bring me into this when it's completely irrelevant , in my eyes anyway!

Hmm, not sure about the logo being in "camouflage" colours on the idents.

However, if the logo is always in the exact same on-screen position and size for all break-bumpers, trailer openings/enboards, etc etc (and in its "corporate" colours for all such things), then that will help.

Having the logo disappear mid-ident though does seem odd.

Well I think this ident would be perfect going into Paul O'Grady for the Love of Dogs Very Happy

Also the "1" is gone - move on!
