Ive noticed that there is a lot of flickering in ITV 1 HD, particularly during daybreak when the regional news switch back to daybreak.


Although that's not what I meant, I meant it was intended to flicker and that is what it did.

Daybreak hasn't been smooth opting to ITV Anglia for a while, this morning we held onto the Title a sec or 2 extra and nearly missed the welcome/hello from Alpa. And then going back was then affected by the delay we jumped straight into the post opt out sting. (But that's not really to be discussed here, so I will stop)

ITV4HD is off air at the moment, showing a caption. But the EPG on Sky suggests this was planned..

I'm sure I read ITV4+1 was also off air. perhaps something to do with upcoming launch of ITV1+1? Without going technical, maybe their rejigging things around a bit.

My TV while watching ITV2 last night was giving the message along the lines 'you need to retune your box after 1pm on 11/01/11 to allow ITV1+1'

So would that mean at 1pm it will appear?

It starts at 1.11pm on 11.1.11 according to their advert in (oddly) Wallpaper* magazine.

What is ITV1+1?
New channel ITV1+1 will show ITV1 one hour later than it is currently broadcast. This will be in addition to the ITV1 service that you have at the moment.


When will I be able to watch ITV1+1?
ITV+1 will launch on 11th January 2011 at 8pm. You’ll be able to find it on Sky, Freeview, Freesat and Virgin.


Will I need to manually retune to get ITV1+1?
If you have a Freeview TV or box, you will need to manually retune after 2pm on Tuesday 11th January to get ITV1+1. There’s no need to retune on Sky, Freesat or Virgin.

How do I retune?
1. Switch on your digital box or digital television
2. Press 'menu' on the remote control
3. Select the 'set up' or installation option
4. Select 'first time installation' option (sometimes called 'factory reset', 'full retune' or 'default settings'
5. Press 'OK' if your equipment asks if you want to delete all your channels – don’t worry, this is normal
6. If you are prompted for a code, try 0000 or 1234
7. Channels will be automatically installed. This may take a few minutes, and your equipment may shut down and restart.

After re-tuning you may have to reset your 'favourites”' list. If you re-tune a digital recorder, you should re-set future recordings.

Was just thinking I haven't seen the laterns ident for ages - and remember that "Heath & Safety, lanterns may be let off by people" stupid article ages ago - did that ever come to anything? Or is it just me and not caught the ident lately. Laughing
