this feels just like the launch of Daybreak (v1) all over.

I beg to differ. I think whilst ITV are pinning their hopes on Susanna, they've also done a bit of damage limitation bringing Ben back. And I actually think himself and Susanna might have a good on-screen partnership.

They're also mentioning news and content quite a lot, Susanna did at the TRIC Awards and as we're seeing, they're hiring a lot of good editors and directors.

Speaking of Directors, Erron Gordon (Director of final GMTV, current Director of Daybreak) announced on Twitter that he is now the Series Director at ITV Breakfast. Anyone shed some light on what this new role entails?

ITV Breakfast is a dead duck. Even C4 realised that the premise had run it's course.

I'm not sure why ITV are flogging a mule which is in the advanced stages of decomposition .... Thumbs down

Because since Channel 4 abandoned a breakfast they've completely gone off the agenda entirely in that time slot. Most people wouldn't know if Channel 4 actually closed down at breakfast time now. Would we really want a situation when you've basically got BBC Breakfast and filler repeats everywhere else?

Exactly. BBC Breakfast will stagnate even more without any real competition.

That wouldn't be motivation for ITV though. There motivation is the slot is probably still making them money, just not as much as they would like hence the changes.

Don't ask him that because any further contribution is as likely to be as dull or incoherent as the rest.
