Piers walked into the studio and 6:26 this morning and shouted “they wanna see us they don’t wanna see you” while Ranvir was talking about what was coming up on the main show.

I know it's effectively his 'brand' but I feel like he really can come across as disrespectful when he behaves like that. He shouted over to Laura asking if there was much more to go of her pre-6:30am weather report yesterday while she was in full flow too. I'm talking as someone who quite likes Piers, but he needs to remember that effectively he gets two and a half hours to do and say what he likes while they get half an hour to themselves, so the least he can do is shut up until it's his (much longer) turn.

But people on Twitter have been moaning that they miss him at 6, and some say they don't get to see him anymore, as they go to work before he comes on, etc.
He and the producers see this. Hence him being fuelled up saying 'they want to see me'.
It isn't professional but he knows that he is GMB.

He's not GMB. He's one presenter on a show with several. In any case, I'd like to think you can be popular with viewers and be respectful of your colleagues. Maybe it's just me.

I can't be the only one that hears 'The A Team' theme tune in the new title sequence music?

Oh my goodness. You're absolutely right. It's the drumbeat over the date and the orchestral sweep up before the theme kicks in. Can't unhear this now.

Edit: Hope you don't mind my nicking your idea, but I think it fits quite well...

It's entirely condoned by the production team too. If they didn't want him to do things like that, he wouldn't get the opportunity. It's not just Piers who's being unprofessional, it's the entire ethos of the programme and a key reason why I won't watch it, and looking at the ratings, I'm not the only one (I mean BBC Breakfast is only just above watching paint dry in terms of dullness, but it's reliable, it's predictably paced and it's not ego driven, and it's continuing to thrash GMB in the ratings).

It's nice to see Ranvir sat with Piers and Susanna. That hasn't happened often at all.

But it does make me think actually why the newsreader is sat with them throughout the whole programme.

If you watch this clip with the interview with Tom Bradby, Ranvir is sat there in shot on the long shots and it just looks awkward. She's just sat there listening and not quite sure what to do.

Now that they do start the programme off at the start, I think it would be more beneficial to have a 'News and Weather' area where the weather and news updates can be brought from across the whole programme. Otherwise you've just got the newsreader sat there as the third person on the desk completely redundant on the most part apart from when they're giving the news - which considering how long Piers squawks on for is not that frequently at all.

Even Susanna there answering the question put to Tom and then Piers giving his views over the guests where his views were not really valid. Good job he isn't on tomorrow, though given tonights news he might be now.

Spotted this watching the 6am half-hour back on the Hub. Testcard screen behind Ranvir shows 'ITV Southbank London'.

In fairness, I found Ranvir to interact more than Charlotte throughout the interviews this morning. Whereas Charlotte does just sit there

2 things from me:

1) I can't be the only one that hears Crimewatch in the new titles?
2) I've noticed along with a few others that they're starting to awkwardly crop the YouTube videos, such as the one above

Ugh, Susanna in that interview above. Let your guest speak for goodness' sake.
