Be interesting to see which game ITV opt for on Monday then considering they've got the choice between the two who've got through and the two who can't. Guess they'll go for the former as they've got the group title to play for, plus the privelege of probably not playing Brazil in Round 2.

Never thought I'd say this but he really is missed. The pundit line up on both sides is rather underwhelming this time around.
P.S. We know Adrian Chiles is the first lead presenter to do two World Cups for ITV in quite some time, but how many has Matt Smith done as the second presenter. I'm sure he was there when Des Lynam was number 1.
Where is Alan Hansen? He was meant to be retiring after the World Cup but nearly a week in I've not seen him yet.

Good point - be interesting to see who is at the stadium for England tomorrow.
Danny Murphy seems to have been well received tonight - something which seems quite rare for commentators or pundits on either side at the moment. Hope too this will be kind of a breakout event for Mark Chapman - IMO he's one of the best assets BBC Sport have got at the moment.

Agreed about Chapman. Despite the comments above I really enjoyed the secondary line up last night. Philip Neville's poor performance on Saturday has seemingly opened up the doors for Danny Murphy.
There's just something not working with Thierry Henry and Rio Ferdinand. The atmosphere is flat. Compare that with Martin O'Neil on ITV this afternoon and it reminded me of the glory days of France 98 on the BBC.

Matt Smith, Andros Townsend and Gus Poyet according to Matt Smith earlier tonight.

You would think if they can get Matt Smith down there they might as well get Chiles and co. in the stadium to anchor the broadcast. Surely as one of the broadcasters of the teams playing they're entitlted to sufficient in-stadium facilities for a live broadcast, even if that isn't a studio.
