The first of the refreshed junctions for Film4 at 11am. Given it's only minor tweaks they're seeing to presentation, it's not surprising they make no real reference to it either. I can't quite decide how well the new logo works with the Film4 idents, although I imagine it's a decision that'll be easier to make after seeing how well it applies to some of the others.

A petty question, but has Film4 the distributor changed their logo too, or just Film4 the channel?

The most jarring aspect of these new logos for me is that - following the logic of 4Music - the More4 and Film4 logos read "4More" and "4Film".

I mean, in isolation they're fine, but clearly the main purpose is to create uniformity, and they fail in this sense.

It's quite a turnaround for Channel 4 when you consider with their 2015 revamp the logo rarely appeared in its fully formed state. Now they feel it's important to roll it out across all their channels.

I think C4 may have taken someone's concept on DeviantArt.

Makes you wonder if they have any imminent plans for their main channel. There haven't been any additions to the "4 man" set or whatever it's called, and frankly I'm getting really tired of hearing a Scouse kid shout "pass it up 'ere" what feels like every time I'm watching anything on Channel 4.

Those versions of More4 and E4 look far better as well! I wonder if he has any grounds to act if they actually have nicked his idea, seeing as the logos belong to Channel 4 in the first place.

Agreed. They also show the 4 logo in DOG form on their current set of channel 4 idents so I suspect they might have a little regret not having the 4 logo featured in its true form within the ident.

Again and again all these creative folks come up with bright ideas but fail to keep it simple and end up with a complex brand and an empty wallet.

Wow - that's more than a coincidence.

Oh dear... so the new logos are plagiarised from a fan mock? Similar fonts, same concept. I think they may have a bone to pick with the designers...

Concept yes, but Channel 4's ideas work better incorporating them into the '4' better. The 'FILM' and 'More' are Channel 4's font anyway. As for 'Music' font, that goes back to the 2008 4Music logo.

I have to disagree that the 'E' in E4's new logo is better incorporated than the DeviantArt design. It looks like somebody's just drawn over the '4'. Granted, the DeviantArt logo is more subtle and arguably makes it harder to spot the 'E', but in my opinion, it's just much more neat.
