Anyone know what happened to the end of CBBC1 today?

I didn't see their link before Newsround, but after Newsround there was 2 BBC promos followed by a BBC 1 ident before Neighbours. In short the was no CBBC closing ident, or stuff from Dick & Dom. Was it just a case they had over-run their allocated time, or was there another reason?

I thought that was a bit strange!. I didnt see a closing link with Dick and Dom after newsround, they went straight to the adverts.

With Dick and Dom being Dick and Dom, they've rejigged the promos. It looks as though some promos were shifted to immediately preceed programmes so there'd be more time for the WACKY links. In the case of Newsround, they've been using CBBC idents and trailers immediately before it all week to save the rough change from WACKY to serious. It was certainly planned to end like that today because they both sory of said goodbye before Newsround started.

I don't watch CBBC, by the way. I categorically haven't been watching Dick and Dom all week. Nor do I normally watch CBBC with Andrew and Gemma.

Bring back Ant and Dec's SM:TV.

[family fortunes wrong answer sound effect] The only reason why the ratings went was because no-one bothered to have a look at brian&tess. They were loads better than A&D.And yeah,i thought they could'nt just play the end of NR then go into BBC1 stuff.I bet a load of CBBC viewers kept watching BBC1 after then realised neighbours was on!

BOGIES! - I mean, whos idea was that?

Who narrates the 'Snot-o-meter' btw?

Just an altered version of a playground game really. Most on this forum have said they used to shout numbers starting at 1 and going upwards through them with the normal bogies rules.

The bogies voice-over comes from Steve Ryde (Producer).

According to rumourville at DS world, there is going to be a new game called "Kiss Dick Quick" I know in the past they have played around with the word Dick but one hand it makes me feel thats not right but on the other hand, its funny!

Kiss Dick Quick is a new game. Along with Snot Danglies and Bunaglow Battle Bots.
They're also going into the attic in this series. They've said they'll be a few surprises in there...

A closing link was ready to go to air, but BBC One's main pres suite skipped the event in error. The planned item was a big Dick and Dom event which you should be able to see on Friday instead. Creamy Muck Muck anyone?

But there was no event to "skip" - Newsround ended at 5:34. Neighbours started on time and ended on time.

I did wonder whether a link was meant to go out because over on CBBC channel at 6pm there was a link with Dick and Dom and all the celebs that had been pied....including the girl who plays Tracy Beaker, who I don't remember being done on BBC1. Was she supposed to be the big finale and they forgot so sheepishly put them all on CBBC channel instead?

The closing CBBC Link was skipped in error. Neighbours started & finished earlier than planned (although within the scheduled slot at 1735) and was followed by extra trails (Freeview etc) to fill the gap before 1800. The intended closing link from CBBC One was recorded in any case for use on Friday. The CBBC Channel was due to have Dick & Dom in the 1800 link, so it was good to bring the other celebs in to add to the fun. Dick & Dom are doing a Webchat tonight at 1730.
