Ofcom? What's it got to do with them? This "incident" was on a BBC program, so why should Ofcom get involved in this?
I thought the BBC was regulated by it's own board of governors, or does Ofcom regulate all TV channels in the UK now?

Of course they do, otherwise the BBC could do what they want. There has to be an independent body to regulate these things and make sure everyone sticks to the same standards.

Ofcom took control of the duties from broadcasting standards commission, who originally controlled these things.

If you think obout it, Richards on-screen name , Dick, isn't allwed in MSN, whithout it saying unsutitable!! So they will make the BBC change it from Dick & Dom to Richard & Dom or something!!

clearly you haven't used MSN in a while as they got rid of the censorship ages ago.

Or are you unable of noticing such things because *I'M ONLY THIRTEEN* whinge whinge.

Is this your attempt at getting someone to talk dirty at you Simon?

Type it into a search engine already.

Vile.

Why are so many people on this forum so negative and critical? Did you all really know what "morning wood" meant at 13? I imagine there were other expressions or things you didn't know about then so stop coming over all holier than thou on others.

I'd not heard of the expression until a few years ago (and I'm 32 for the record), it is more of an American expression. Frankly to read that a 13 year old didn't know what it meant makes a nice change: good for him.

Getting back to the real point, it's pathetic of Ofcom to slate this though, the best kids TV has always had jokes and inuendo for adults built in, Going Live, Live & Kicking and SMTV were all masters at it!

Well i doubt all 8-13 year olds know it. Like you said it is quite americain and i doubt dom would of worn it if he knew what it ment!! Like they both laughed out loud when i said "bloody hell" to them!!

I quite agree, and having now had chance to clue myself up it's obvious Dom knew what he was doing.
