The end, the episode ends with Seth telling Alan his wife has died. 2 February 1993 I think.
The second plane crash episode used the same music at the end IIRC, as Alan discovered the plane wreckage.
Did someone say the plane crash storyline was a culmination of a full years planning.
I wonder if they killed off Meg because they knew Paula Tillbrook would join the following year as Betty Eagleton?

I too like them. A good pace of music and good pictures too. I know they show a new tone for the show, but they are good.
I quite like the scene for the end credits.

To be fair, other versions of the credits before and after these have featured people who do not appear.

I understand your point about the superimposed shots of non-characters. Though they did something quite similar in the late 90s titles with B&W footage of non-characters. Apparently, in the latter titles anyway, the intention was to represent the emotions that drive the show (happiness, sadness, celebrating etc).

I remember us watching the late 90's titles and wondered who the hell those people were. I remember asking "Is this..... emmerdale?"

Pretty much the end of the original farmhouse set today. Even the clock that had been there since around 1975 has been taken down off the wall.
