Pointless filler story with little substance, which is either publicity for the show or The Sun trying to stir up trouble
By coincidence which paper / sister paper does Jeremy Clarkson write a column for? Being cynical I wonder whether their stance is in part intended to help their columnist's new project with Amazon, and also in part just an excuse to bash the BBC to suit their proprietor's agenda.
All newspapers are out to get this version of Top Gear
Well of course, it's the next part of the story. Next part is 'New Top Gear only gets x million viewers'.

I'm sure the stories are already written for the start of the new Clarkson show. Once the stories have run out on the launch of Top Gear it'll be about how many thousands of viewers that's getting
Doesn't surprise me. Chris Evans is only happy when he's working with himself.
Do you have proof to back up that claim?
Only what he presents on TV, where he always appears to have a massive ego (especially on the anniversary special of TFI Friday, which overran because he was too busy hogging the limelight).

You say based on what?
He's never really worked 'himself' except perhaps for some of his very early radio shows. Very few people in TV work 'by themselves'. It's more common in radio but almost all of his radio work has been 'zoo' format with a team.
He can't ever have been happy at work in the last 25 years by your reckoning

Give it a rest for goodness sake. What has Evans ever done to you?
