Channel 4's web site is currently down - but the holding page is sporting the new More4 logo

It's currently sporting a hybrid of old and new:

Guess somebody forgot to delete before adding.

I wasn't banned for posting about Channel 4/The Simpsons continuity per se. I was banned for mentioning one particular item of Channel 4 continuity. Hopefully, if I post the video without comment then I should be fine...

The question remains, however, who or what is the Countdown Cat that is constantly being referred to by the continuity announcers?

They mentioned something to do with cats again today. Maybe as Countdown and The Simpsons are introduced by their sponsor, the CA feel that they don't need to do it properly. They are probably right. I'm sure someone at ITV will probably come up with the idea of dropping continuity announcers for sponsored shows soon.

I turned to More 4 today to see the new presentation in action and I noticed that Deal or no Deal now has audio description. Strangely, the episode shown on Channel 4 today didn't have AD. Anyone know why? Isn't Deal or no Deal recorded quite a while in advance? Surely there is time to do AD before the Channel 4 airing. How far behind are More 4 anyway?

Even E4 are getting in on the act now:

I'm not so sure about it myself - there isn't much on C4 at the moment I want to watch the first time around, never mind worry about missing.

The idea is dumb but I guess that's more because it's basically duplicating a lot of what More 4 and E4 should be doing sometimes anyway rather than because it didn't meet with Brekkie's requirements. Probably the fault of women in telly, eh?

I know people enjoy hearing about how Channel 4 introduce The Simpsons each day, today it was "...but first Homer has got some repressed memories. The er, the er, whatyamacallems."

Channel 4 started playing out the second part of The Simpsons before they had shown the first part earlier today. After a few minutes the CA jumped in over a 4:3 breakdown slide and said they would start it again from the beginning, which they did. We wouldn't normally hear from the CA on a Saturday as The Simpsons is introduced by T4. The CA did not refer to The Simpsons by an amusing name during the downtime which must be the first time in a few weeks.

About 35 mins in, after Ben and Max played their first question, one of the bundles went missing and had to be replaced by the production team?
Where did it go? I presume the lads were patted down before they left the studio.

I thought she said that it had slipped? As there is a lot of money on the first question, and it is usually all piled high on the one drop, it's not inconceivable that a bundle simply fell off the pile down one of the empty drops.
