See BT sport? are the out of break bumpers the same as BT Sport showcase. some of them are half decent.

the break bumpers on BT Sport are usually related to whatever sport they are showing at the time.

So thus BT showcase, 1, 2, etc all have the same idents then, but as you say depended on what sport is being shown.

Same on all channels, but they don't really have idents, there's usually a menu such as the one below, with pre-recorded voiceover (may or may not be related to the following programme) then straight into the programme.

Cheers, just to ask when did the current presentation get introduced?

This was the break bumper when it launched in 2013..

The "Brand Chant" break bumpers started in August 2015, with the launch of BT Sport Europe (now 3).

During high-profile events like the Premier League and Champions League they're generated live to reflect what's happening in the game.

As I recall, the BT Sport ESPN bumpers use a different font and colours? But it's ages since I last watched it.

Ah yes the ESPN ones use a / rather than a |

I'll try and capture a selection later in the week.

Here's a showreel giving a flavour of them:

The BT 'connected world' is still all over the channel pres (if not the programmes) but it's a slightly different style; also the goal net motif has mostly gone - though can still be seen on some bits of the studio.

why do there say there idents? when there only used coming out of the break. Also I see from a few past Showreels some some of them are still being reused. ;0)

They're not generally referred to as idents in house - it could just be for that particular showreel.

There's normally about 15 new ones a week and while some refer to specific matches or events and can't really be reused, most are related to teams, players or sports so can be used again in future. Some of the earliest ones are very generic so are still getting plenty of use when nothing else fits.

I once saw creative use of bumpers scheduled around a fishing show that were originally made for rugby ("Heeeeave!") and Grimsby Town FC ("Sing when we're fishing").

I really like the changes to the main set on BBC Sport.

I'm pleased to see they no longer have reference to the 4:3 safe area when framing presenter shots, but now they seem to be ignoring 16:9 too. This bloke on the right looks as though he was an after-thought by the Director Shocked

Presumably, when this minor 're-brand' of BBC Sport actually rolls down to sports programming (I doubt it'll be for Wimbledon, as that uses the tournament corporte colours of green and purple) I guess the caption backgrounds will be in this new dual colouring of yellow and blue?

I think you two have the wrong thread as this is the BT Sport thread.
