To avoid any doubt, I mentioned UHD on BT Sport, the UHD channel is only available in full-time channel format via BTTV's IPTV service.

...and Virgin Media.

BT Sport has today launched on NOW TV and interestingly, after some snooping around, will offer 4K HDR when it's launched shortly too on Ultimate.

Jake gave a little tour of Here East earlier, in case you missed it...

Also you might notice that BT Sport Extra 1 is now in HD on the red button on Sky, it's carrying the version of the match without the crowd noise.

Also the studio bits are native UHD HDR, rather than upconverted as they have been in the past.

BT need to be careful and review content, and layout, across catchup on their own box, various connected tv devices, tablets and phones. There's notable differences in the material offered in different places, over and above the types of player offered.

Spending some time rationalising, ideally bringing it up to match the best content rich devices, but I could understand some removals, will be useful to divert criticism from eagle eyed viewers.

Viewers deserve consistency across platforms.

I really find Humphrey's difficult to watch, it doesn't feel like he's ever outgrown his CBBC presenting style.

Jake is more than competent, and the BT Sport presentation beats the Sky nonsense with its hype and criticism without question.

There does seem to be more adverts on BT sport than sky or am I just imagining it

I would guess that both broadcasters use the maximum amount permitted by Ofcom, which is 12 minutes per clock hour.

On an advert related note, Sky Media are now in charge of selling adverts and sponsorship for BT Sport, replacing Channel 4. https://www.skygroup.sky/en-gb/article/sky-media-to-sell-bt-sport-advertising-inventory

Now that seems to be a conflict of interests.
