It is horrid, but we get to see Kirsty's legs,

You may, of course be in a minority on here in viewing that as a good thing. Perhaps they should invite Martin Popplewell to present - in shorts. Very Happy

Well I don't want to see Kirsty's legs, but if another presenter say Mishal comes along, then of course it would be great! Razz

BBC Four names editor for The World

Mariita Eager has been named the new editor of BBC Four’s revamped news bulletin The World, following Amanda Farnsworth’s move to edit the BBC Six O’Clock News late last year.

Eager was deputy editor on BBC World before taking up her current post. As BBC Four’s news is also broadcast on BBC World, Eager has worked closely with its team before.

A BBC staffer for six-and-a-half years, she joined as a senior producer on Five Live from ITN, where she was a senior producer on the launch team of Channel Five News.

Eager said she had no plans to change The World’s output or team, following the recent relaunch and set change. “It’s a good team and I wouldn’t change it for love or money.”

BBC4 started todays programme with a song from the Mel Brooks film The Producers. Must be a first for a news programme.
