Anyone knows what BBC2 is using for their non-50 years programmes? Is it 2011 idents or retro idents?

The 2011 package is back for the fourth year running.

I see BBC TWO NI is using the 'fluffy' clouds original version of the Laughing Snowman ident, rather than the 'solid' clouds version introduced last year on Network. Did they do the same last year?

They did. Wales and Scotland (when not showing the Network's feed) also show the original, non-solid version.

Is it just me or is the red tree in the final form-up has been (quite badly) coloured red in post-production? I can't quite tell as I'm not watching in HD, but it does look a little odd to me.

I thought this as soon as I saw it. It looks like some dodgy masking to me rather than the colouring.

Yes, I wasn't sure what exactly what the cause was, but it certainly looks off.

There isn't a bake off programme over Christmas but there is a Mary Berry one featuring Paul Hollywood Very Happy

I love the idents. I think they are a refreshing change. I like the form up at the end not being from above as expected. As for the lay out of the trees? I think they are trying to be a little more realistic with how trees would normally grow. And yes I know they aren't real trees.

There is a Christmas bake off master class but I think that is next week on BBC Two.

I think the BBC One idents are better than the previous three Christmases, although I think I prefer some of the ones earlier on in the circles era, such as the snowball and the houses.
