ABC logo from 1959

I discovered this in an old logo book, thought it might be of interest to some. There doesn't seem to be any mention of this on the Internet, not even on Transdiffusion.

Great find - which book is it?

"Trademarks, a handbook of international designs" by Peter Wildbur, 1966.

I see the one below it is CBS. What other TV logos are in there?

Its not American Broadcasting Corporation if anyone was thinking that.

Not that many, there is an old logo for Rogers Broadcasting in Canada, the Screens Gems logo from the US and two more from Italy and Romania that I hadn't heard of.

The ABC triangle is the only British TV logo in the book, and it was arguably the best and boldest in that category at the time.

It was a nice logo. It also served as a nod to the 'mothership' ABC Cinemas, also using a downward pointing triangular device:

Similarly, Rentokil Initial continued to use the BET/Rediffusion logo as their 'default' logo for many years:
